Lisse is a small town located in southwest of Amsterdam. Keukenhof Gardens of Lisse, known as the Garden of Europe, is the world’s second largest flower garden following Dubai Miracle Garden. According to the official website for the Keukenhof Park, approximately 7 million flower bulbs with a total of 800 varieties of tulips are planted annually in the park, which covers an area of 32 hectares (79 acres).
Keukenhof Gardens is located in an area called the “Dune and Bulb Region” and open annually from mid-March to mid-May. It is accessible by bus from the train stations of Haarlem, Leiden and Schiphol.
