The Capital of the United States
Washington, D.C., one of the world's most exciting vacation destinations,
attracts millions of visitors from around the world every year.
Washington, D.C. is the capital of the United States of America. With
about 600,000 residents, the U.S. capital is bounded by the Potomac River on one side and by
Maryland State on the other side. Washington, D.C. is not just where US government located but

world-class theaters, historic sites and famous architectures. The White House, the Capitol,

The Capitol Hill
Washington's most outstanding landmark, the Capitol, was established in
1793 by George Washington. The South Wing is where The House of Representative meets, and the
North Wing is the Senate meeting place. East of the Capitol is the Library of Congress, which
contains over 100 millions books and publications.
The White House
White House is the residence for president of the United State since 1800.
National Mall, Monuments, Museums
National Mall, the 400 feed wide green stretching form the Potomac River
to Capitol Hill, is home to most great monuments and museums. National Mall is mass gathering
place for all kind of events. Independence Day - Forth of July, cerebration hold here at
National Mall each year. The Washington Monument, which rises above the Mall, offers amazing
views of the US national capitol.
The Smithsonian Institution is a world class research center. With large
collection of world arts, it manages many Washington museums and galleries. Admission to all
museums is free and most museums are open daily.
