As part of the world's most famous travel and vacation paradise, Hawaii Big Island is the largest and youngest island in the Hawaiian Islands chain, about twice as large as all the Hawaii Islands combined. Its 266-mile coastline spreads with white, black sandy beaches beach parks, and natural attractions. More than 80 beach parks on the Big Island have their own characteristic. Some hide behind buildings, some are dangerous for swimming, but most of these beaches are easy to reach and are perfect for water sport and outdoor activities.

Ocean, beaches, volcanoes, golf, sports..

Besides beach parks, there are five volcanoes and the highest one is Mauna Kea Mountain. With the high of 13,796-feet, Mauna Kea Mountain is covered by snow and is suitable for skiing in the winter season. Yes, you have opportunity to ski in the tropical region - Hawaii! Amazing super-nature!

Because the whole island surrounding by the Pacific Ocean and high mountain peak penetrating into the skies, diverse climate are presented on this island. Therefore the Big Island provides diversified outdoor activities, from fishing, scuba diving and swimming in the ocean to skiing, horseback riding and hiking, from sailing in the sea to golfing on the green. There are about 20 golf courses and Golf Tournament have been hosted on the Big Island.

Big Island luxury hotels

In recent year, travel business grows strongly around the world. No exception the Big Island attracts more travel visitors because of its natural beauty, active volcano, waterfalls and rich Hawaiian cultures. Most luxury hotels and resorts are established along the shore of the Island. For example, the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel is nestled into the bluffs above the white sands of Hapuna Beach, the Aston Shores at Waikoloa hotel is located just 18 miles from Kona Airport and 25 minutes from Kailua-Kona town. Big Island climate

Although Hawaii Big Island is located in the tropical zone, its climate is comfortable because of the ocean currents that pass its shores and the trade winds that blow across the land from the northeast. The annual average of Big Island temperature is about 24°C (75°F).

Hilo has several shopping centers. The largest one is Prince Kuhio Plaza. It has 65 stores from small gift shops to department stores. Kailua-Kona area has many shopping centers and malls, including the largest shopping center - Keauhou Shopping Center.

Big Island nightlife & culture activity

There are many activities in the evening on Hawaii Big Island. With Polynesian dance and traditional feast, Hawaiian Luau is the most favorite evening activity in Big Island nightlife. Several Polynesian shows take audience on a dancing and musical journey through Hawaii Islands and South Pacific paradise, from romantic hula to the spectacular fire dance. Sunset cruise is another favorite activity in Big Island nightlife.
