Because the whole island surrounding by the Pacific Ocean and high mountain peak penetrating into the skies, diverse climate are presented on the Hawaii Big Island. Therefore the Big Island provides diversified outdoor activities, from fishing, scuba diving and swimming in the ocean to skiing, horseback riding and hiking, from sailing in the sea to golfing on the green.

There are about 20 golf courses on the Big Island of Hawaii.

Some of the world's best golf resorts lie along the Kona-Kahala coast. Hapuna Golf Course is the home of EWG's Hawaii chapter. Hualalai Golf Club at historic Ka'upulehu is a challenging Jack Nicklaus design where lava rock extends onto fairways.
