Museums and Historical Attractions
Kauai has two major museums, Kauai Museum and Kokee Natural History Museum. Kauai Museum exhibits
the history, art, geology and natural wonders of this island.
The gift shop of Kauai Museum has good selections of Hawaiian books, koa bowls and other handcrafts.
Located in the Kokee State Park, the Kokee Museum is a good place to learn about Kauai's ecology of birds,
local trees, etc.
Grove Farm Homestead Museum is one of Hawaii's earlier sugar plantations. It was built in 1864 by
missionaries son.
