Maui climate

Although Maui is located in tropical zone but the climate varies with average temperatures from 72°F to 79°F. It is perfect for outdoor sports, including golfing, tennis, hiking, surfing and other water sports.

Maui beaches

Maui has 42 miles of sandy beaches along its 120 miles sunny coastline. D.T. Flemming Beach, Kaanapali Beach, Kapalua Beach, Launiupoko Wayside Park and Napili Bay Beach are located in West Maui. Kama'ole Beach Parks I, II, III, Keawakapu Beach, Maalaea Beach, Makena Beach and Ulua Beach are located in South Maui. Hookipa Beach and Kanaha Beach Park are located at north shore of Maui Island. Hana Beach Park and Hamoa Beach Park are located in Hana.

Maui parks and gardens

Besides miles of sand beaches, Maui Island has many parks and gardens. Haleakala is one of best-known mountains in the world. With 10,023-foot summit, Haleakala dormant volcano mountain is the location of the Science City which provides astronomy research and education.

Maui Haleakala National Park was designated an International Biosphere Reserve in 1980. Of its 28,655 acres, 19,270 acres are wilderness. Haleakala mountain top offers a spectacular 360° panoramic view. The visual horizon in many places in the Park is up to 115 miles out to sea. In addition to breathtaking sunrise and sunset, even cloudy skies can offer amazing sights including rainbows, moonbows and halos seen around your shadow. Millions of tourists from around the world travel to Maui every year to experience this wonderland magic.

Maui museums, historical attractions, Ocean Center

As the second largest island in Hawaii chain, Maui has about many museums and historical places. As a cross road of East and West, these Maui's museums and historical attractions mirror the past of Pacific Region. The Alexander & Baldwin Sugar Museum, Bailey House Museum, Iao Valley State Park and Kepaniwai Heritage Gardens are some of the museums and cultural and historical attractions.
