Oahu Beaches

Oahu has 50 miles of beautiful sandy beaches along its sunny coastline. With climate varies with average temperatures from 72°F to 79°F, Oahu Island is a perfect place for outdoor sports and beach activities.

All these beaches are free and available to the public. Some beaches have picnic tables and facilities, others are perfect for water sports.

Ala Moana Beach Park is located along Oahu southern coastline between Honolulu downtown and Waikiki. It is the most popular beach for visitors. It has Picnic area, restrooms and public phone and is perfect for swimming.

Waikiki Beach stretches about two-mile along Waikiki coast. This white sand beach is popular for all kind of water sports, including Swimming, Sunbathing, Snorkeling, Surfing, and more. As a portion of Waikiki Beach, Kahanamaku Beach with its lagoon's calm water is safe for children playing with water and sand. Today, Waikiki Beach is the most famous beach in the world.

Waimanalo Beach Park has campgrounds and is a good place for family picnic. The waves are gentle here and is perfect for body-surfing. Restrooms and showers are available.

Kailua Beach Park is located on Oahu windward side near Kaulua town. With steady breeze and clam water, it is marvelous for windsurfing and family picnic. Restrooms, showers, and public phone are available.

Sandy Beach is closed to Koko Crater on East Oahu. It is one of the most challenging beaches for surfing. Picnic tables and showers are available.

Waimea Beach is situated across from Waimea Fall Park. It is a super spot for swimming, surfing and family picnic. No phone but restrooms are available.
