Oahu Parks & Gardens

Oahu Island has many beach parks or parks scattered along its seashore. Sea Life Park, one of the East Oahu parks, is a marine attraction. Ala Moana Beach Park in Honolulu, Haleiwa Beach Park in Haleiwa, and Kailua Beach Park located near Kailua town all offer picnic areas.

Beside these parks there are gardens and waterfalls as well. Manoa Falls is situated not far from Honolulu. Waimea Falls Park is located off the Kamehameha Highway. They all are marvelous places and tourist attractions.

Ala Moana Beach Park is a lovely long sandy beach park. This family favorite park has picnic area, tennis courts, lavatories and showers. With calm water it is a nice place for swimming. This park is located in Honolulu across from Ala Moana Center. You can get there by #8 and #20 bus. It is just about 15-minute from Waikiki.

Haleiwa Beach Park is closed to Halaiwa town at North Shore. It has sandy beach and is good for swimming. With picnic areas, campground and lavatories, it is a favorable location for family picnic and beach activities. You can get there by tour bus about two hours ride from Ala Moana.

The Kailua Beach Park is located on the windward side near Kailua town. With gentle surf most of the year, it is super for family picnic and beach activities. Snack bar, lavatories and showers are available. You can take bus to get there with a few bus transfers.

Located at beautiful Makapuu Point, Sea Life Park is a marine attractive spot on Oahu Island. As a world famous oceanarium, it presents to you dolphins and penguins aquatic shows, and more than 2000 colorful tropical fish. The Pacific Whaling Museum displays the history of whaling in Hawaii. Sea Life Park is definitely a fun place for family to spend their holiday vacation.
